About Delmary, Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient
From Dr. Paul Leon Masters, I.M.M. Founder
The presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to someone by our organization is one that is carefully chosen. Because of our position, which has evolved in over 54 years as the world’s largest Holistically, New Thought, Transcendent Oriented Metaphysical minister, teaching, counseling, and coaching organization, it is our spiritual, moral, and ethical responsibility to hold the entire field of metaphysical spirituality in the highest regard before the world’s populace. This is why every Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is chosen with such care.
Primary considerations for the award are first and foremost, the contribution to the uplifting of spiritual consciousness on this planet. This should be consistent over a long period of time—at least 30 years of contributing. The recipient’s age is also considered, that if older, they should be awarded while still with us.
Prior to the choice of this year’s selection, previous awardees were usually teachers, writers, ministers. For the very first time, we have chosen an artist—a painter whose visionary art masterpieces have lifted people’s spiritual consciousness worldwide for over 45 years. Art that is mystically inspired can speak to our souls. It is God touching us through brushstrokes, vivid paints, and canvas. This is what the choice of our next Lifetime Achievement award winner, Delmary, has communicated for decades to those whose souls have been led to her works of art. Many years ago I started seeing printings of her artwork on greeting cards. I immediately felt a spiritual connection to what my senses responded to. As spiritual fate would always have it, in the process of purchasing one of her artworks at a local gallery in Sedona, she and her husband happened in. I had already read her bio, which is presented here—but it was her genuineness, and humbleness of spirit that was truly a spiritual exclamation mark on the art she had produced. Her husband of 27 years, Richard, I found to be a wonderful compliment to her spirit. Subsequently, I have also met their two Shetland sheepdogs, a breed for which I have a special love, and found them to be an additional two beautiful souls.
Her biography is as follows:
DELMARY…WHO PAINTS WITH HER HANDS, HER HEART AND HER SOUL
Delmary is a self-taught artist who has mastered the 14th century Flemish technique of glazing, and her brilliant oils reflect a deeply personal expression of love for light, color, and the sea. She enjoys a world-wide reputation for her art. The original prints are in Russian composer, Khateheturian’s museum.
In Delmary’s own words
My painting actually started one day as I looked out while on the beach in Hawaii holding my eight-month-old son, Aaron, on my hip. As I looked upon the beautiful ocean and sunset, I said to myself, “Gee, God, I wish I could paint the ocean and skies, ONLY HOW? Well, here I am 45 years later, and I have been painting ever since with a passion for beauty and color. I lived in Hawaii for 15 years painting seascapes. I was then moved by an internal stirring to move to Sedona. I have been here for 30 years painting my spiritual paintings and am still excited to begin a new creation.
She is one of the few artists to have been represented by one of the largest galleries in the world during the years she lived in Hawaii.
With the art that has stirred the sensibilities of thousands, Delmary’s influence has reached many corners. She has been the recipient of the Maharishi Award, which was presented to her by the World Government of the Age of Enlightenment. Such honors have been bestowed upon Delmary as having an asteroid named after her, along with other Masters – Kadinsky, Dali, and Chagall. The Delmary “star” or asteroid, which is actually a small planet, is registered in the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. and its
counterpart in Russia.
Franklin Mint commissioned Delmary to paint a 12 Limited Edition “Dolphin Series”, to be reproduced on plates for Conservation International. The collection was advertised nationally in publications such as People, Cosmopolitan, Reader’s Digest, Playboy and Parade Magazine.
Delmary has over 38 original oils reproduced in cards and posters circulating worldwide.
Friend and admirer, Mr. Walter Lance, Dean of American Animators and creator of “Woody Woodpecker”, has written of Delmary, “I have been an admirer of Delmary for years. She is an excellent painter who paints with her heart and soul. She has a very unique style in her paints, and her use of color and composition is outstanding.”
“Delmary is such an incredible artist using great colors. We met while both living in Hawaii, and I bought one of her first paintings. My home is filled with her paintings, Native American and beautiful ocean scapes. She is so real, I can see everything she puts into her work, the passion and spirituality. We are the best of friends and hav stayed in touch through the years. I respect her as an artist and a person”, Ric Marlow, 1962 Grammy Award Winning Song Writer for the song A Taste Of Honey, one of the most commercially successful songs in the history of the music and recording industry, which has been recorded by approximately 250 artists.
Delmary currently resides in the southwestern USA, with her husband, Richard, and their two Shetland sheepdogs. She has one son, her pride
and joy, Aaron.
