Rev. Lakeisha Thomas, B.Msc.
As a versatile author, an advocate for the arts, and an ambitious philanthropist, Lakeisha strives to adapt her work to positively influence those around her and inspire them to take action. Through her dedication to social movements, she works to cultivate an environment of acceptance that sparks a love for people and the arts. Lakeisha believes recognizing talent in the arts helps unite communities.
As the founder of Ka’neccted, Lakeisha aims to encourage community efforts to touch lives and aid others in their daily struggles. This project focuses on five effective steps to open portals of honest communication, resolve relational issues, and encourage personal development. The next step is to transition this concept into a nonprofit organization, enabling her to implement art programs into the local schools and community centers. Her goal is to urge people to honor, support, and remember those who have faced exceptional battles, identifying sickness and poverty as common enemies.
Additionally, Lakeisha’s charitable initiative, Give a Hand Receive a Smile, highlights the compassion element of her work. Over the past nine years, this annual Christmas card and plush toy drive helps the community come together in order to bring a little bit of cheer to a few children’s hospitals on Christmas Eve.
Her written work encompasses all that she is and the initiatives she coordinates. By applying her writing talent to connecting with people, Lakeisha hopes to grow as a writer and inspire others to become more involved in their communities through simple actions.
Lakeisha received her Bachelor of Metaphysical Science, B.Msc., from the University of Metaphysics. She is also an ordained metaphysical minister, having received her ordination and practitioner diploma from the International Metaphysical Ministry University Seminary.
