Rev. Peggy L. Holdsworth, M.Msc.
The Rev. P. Holdsworth comes from generations of healers, spiritualist, shamans and mediums. Born in New York City in 1951 she was given the birth name of Peggy Lee. Her Taino (native Puerto Rican) grandfather had difficulty in pronouncing it, so he nicknamed her Patchouli. At the age of 16 she was introduced to her spirit guide and began receiving intuitive guidance and instructions from that time forward.
Her interest in religion, the occult and eastern philosophy opened her mind to many new understandings. Meditation was/is of great value to her, and she dedicates herself to sharing meditation and spiritual consultation locally.
For the past 30 yrs she is best known for her Prosperity Dolls.
Growing up in an environment of mystical teachings she was curious about the cute cloth dolls her grandmother would create to assist people with attracting Love or Money. These cloth dolls were referred to as Voodoo Dolls. She herself had no idea as to how these dolls could in fact do what was claimed to be done. She simply applied it to the many mysteries of the occult. As she grew, she continued her interest in spiritualism, philosophy and religion in the field of metaphysics. She finally arrived at a state of awareness that no matter what the belief or what it was called, its origin was from the same source. God/Goddess/All that is. Some ideas, titles or groups, which had bad reputations with negative results, were actually from the same source; it simply was as some claim, a “SIN”, as has been explained as missing of the mark—in other words, accessing the source and applying it in negative ways. Would it work? Of course, it would. She learned it was a matter of INTENTION.
From time to time Rev. Peggy would create the little voodoo dolls. She would prefer to call them Love Dolls or Money Dolls, she felt that using these titles would take away and negative connotations that would arise pertaining to the label voodoo. And she was pleased with the results. As she learned more about plant and mineral energies, she decided she would make use of the many gifts nature provides and began incorporating many herbs, spices, roots and powders.
Rev. Peggy also would prepare herself ritualistically. She felt she needed to be in a higher state of consciousness in order to produce an item that was going to resonate with her intentions. She wanted to share, she wanted to help, she wanted to give. The result was that she has been able to imprint these wonderful energies into her creations. No longer did they need to appear a certain way; she learned that under the proper conditioning she could create a toy, an animal image as well as any doll. She’s had requests for many such items, Pegasus flying horse, Pele fire goddess, Merlin the Magician even Medusa, if that was what the client felt comfortable with. The results have always been the same regardless of the image.
It is amazing, however, the changes in the flow of energy when she herself focuses in on the idea of the request. For instance, she had a request for a Viking Lady doll and while she was cutting out pattern, putting together arms and legs and sewing keeping in mind the image as to how this doll would come about she felt cold, fingers numbing teeth chattering. At the time this doll was being made it was summer time and it was in Las Vegas, NV. With that experience, she realized she had in fact connected with the energy of the time and location of such an idea. With Pele the Fire goddess, she felt jealousy while creating the doll giving her the impression that this goddess was in fact a jealous god. She cautioned the client who had requested it. Such energies could easily flow towards a negative result. Medusa as well was a doll that evoked interesting energies of which she had to work re-direct in order to create a loving prosperous flow.
Rev. Peggy calls her dolls Prosperity Dolls for that is her true intention. She believes she Ministers to the public via her dolls. In 2011 she opened her home to teaching meditation and to giving spiritual advice.
